A roofing website costs $399, $899, or $1,799 to build with Ironstone, plus a care plan of $49 to $119 a month that covers hosting, updates, and security. Agencies quote $2,500 to $10,000 for the same job. One roof a month from the site pays for the whole thing for years.

What the numbers say at this trade’s averages

98% of homeowners research online before hiring a roofer โ€” deciding who gets the job before anyone gets a call.6
One roof from your website pays it off for 10 years — setup and all.
2 roofs a month from your website is an estimated $18,000 a month in new work you didn’t have before — at your own average roof value.

Measured: the gablecrest pro demo scored 99 on Lighthouse mobile, main image painted at 1.47 s (simulated throttling, deployed page).

What moves a roofing website's price up or down?

Page count, a booking system, and a revenue feature such as a quote calculator move the price. Design does not; every tier gets the same build standard.

Three things separate a $399 roofing site from a $1,799 one. The first is depth: a Starter build is three pages, Professional is six, Premium is eight or more with room for multi-crew or multi-location work. The second is the booking system. On Starter, an inspection request is a form; on Professional and Premium it lands in a calendar as an appointment. The third is the revenue feature, which for a roofer is usually a quote calculator that gives a homeowner a written range before anyone drives out.

What does not move the price is the quality of the build itself. Every tier ships with the same mobile-first layout, self-hosted fonts, a preloaded hero image, and a written 90+ mobile speed guarantee. The Starter roofing demo measured 100 on mobile; the Premium version of the same business measured 99. You are paying for what the site does, not for it to load faster.

What does a roofing website cost per month?

The care plan is $49, $69, or $119 a month by tier, and it includes hosting. There is no separate hosting bill.

The second number is the one most quotes leave for later. After a $4,000 agency build, hosting, plugin renewals, an SSL certificate, and a maintenance retainer arrive as separate bills from three different companies, together $80 to $200 a month. The care plan folds all of that into one line: hosting, the certificate, security, backups, and a set number of content updates each month, done by text. Starter carries three updates a month, Professional five, Premium ten.

The updates are the part roofers use most. A storm comes through and the homepage needs a line about same-week inspections; a new crew photo replaces the old one; the financing offer changes. Each of those is one text message, and it is live the same day. That is the difference between a website that reflects your business this month and one that reflects it the month it launched.

Does a roofing website pay for itself?

At an average roof replacement of $9,000, one job from the website pays for the Professional tier for ten years. Two jobs a month is $18,000 a month in new work you did not have before.

The arithmetic is short. Professional costs $899 to build and $69 a month to run. One $9,000 replacement covers 130 months of the care plan and the build together. The payback calculator on the pricing page lets you replace $9,000 with your own average and see the same math at your numbers. The volume figure matters more than the price: 98% of homeowners research online before hiring a roofer, deciding who gets the job before anyone gets a call.6

What the site earns depends on what it shows. A roofer whose site loads in under two seconds, shows real finished roofs, and lets a homeowner request an inspection in twenty seconds gets the call the slower site loses. That is the whole business case, and it is why the build standard is the same on every tier. The do-you-need-one article covers the roofer for whom the answer is still no.

What does $0 down mean for a roofing website?

Every tier has a $0-down path: a higher monthly for year one, then the standard care plan. Professional is $149 a month for twelve months, then $69.

The $0-down plan exists for the roofer who would rather keep the build cost in the truck. Starter is $89 a month for year one, then $49. Professional is $149, then $69. Premium is $269, then $119. It is a twelve-month minimum, and the site files transfer to you once the year-one balance is paid in full. Your domain and the content you supply are yours from day one either way.

Compared with the agency route, the two-year total is what to look at. A $4,000 agency build plus $120 a month in scattered fees is $6,880 over two years. Professional on $0 down is $1,788 in year one and $828 in year two, $2,616 total, with the same booking, the same speed, and the updates included. The builder-versus-designer comparison runs the same math against the do-it-yourself platforms.

What is included at every tier?

The five basics, the speed guarantee, and the free working preview before you commit to anything.

Every roofing site Ironstone builds, Starter included, carries a secure connection, a layout that fits a phone, a tap-to-call number, a contact form, and a way to request an inspection. Those five are the difference between a visit and a call, and they are not upgrades. Hosting, the security certificate, domain connection, hours and map, review display, and the schema that tells search what and where you are come with every tier as well.

So does the guarantee: 90 or better on mobile speed, in writing, on every tier. And so does the preview. Before any tier is chosen, Ironstone builds a working homepage for the business from what is publicly true about it, free, within 24 to 48 hours. The roofer reacts to a real page rather than a proposal, and the tier decision happens after seeing it. Nothing is owed if the answer is no; the preview simply stays Ironstone's.
