Quotes & payment
Every project gets a fixed quote before work begins, and that number doesn't move unless you change the scope — in which case you get a new fixed quote before anything happens. Setup fees are due at launch approval; monthly fees are billed monthly in advance. Prices are in US dollars (USD), plus applicable taxes.
What the monthly fee covers
Hosting, SSL, monitoring, and content updates by request — text, prices, photos, hours, menu items — up to your plan's monthly allowance: 3 (Starter), 5 (Professional), 10 (Premium); one batched request counts as one update. Additional updates are $50 each. New pages, new features, and redesigns are quoted separately.
The free preview
Homepage previews are provided free and without obligation. If you don't proceed, you owe nothing; the preview remains our property. Free previews are removed 30 days after creation unless the account is activated.
Ownership
Your domain name and the content you supply are yours, always. The website itself — its files, code, and design — remains the property of Ironstone Design until your account is paid in full. Once your account is paid in full, ownership of the site files transfers to you and they are provided as part of a clean handover. If the account is not paid in full, the website remains our property.
Standard plan cancellation
Cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. Hosting ends at the close of the paid period. Site files are provided to you at handover once your account is paid in full, including the notice period.
$0-down plan
The $0-down option has a 12-month minimum term. If cancelled early, the balance of the year-one monthly payments becomes due — that's the trade for no setup fee. Ownership of the site files transfers only once the year-one balance is paid in full. After 12 months, it converts to the standard plan and standard cancellation applies.
Our responsibility, honestly stated
We build carefully and host on world-class infrastructure, but no one can promise the internet will never hiccup. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the preceding 3 months. We're not responsible for your business outcomes, third-party services, or content you supply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. If something here needs discussing, talk to us first — we're reasonable people.
